Upcoming Boycotts and Protests
Note that many protests and boycotts are growing organically - most don’t have official sponsors. We are sharing these as opportunities for you to get involved - as you wish and are comfortable!
Economic Blackout
February 28th
On Friday, February 28th, don’t buy anything in person or online. If you absolutely must purchase something, please do so at a local place of business. Also, don’t use your credit or debit card.
We can demonstrate the power of the purse to object to the administration’s illegal actions.
March 4th
Capitol Building, Harrisburg PA
On Tuesday, March 4th, join like minded citizens protesting the actions of the Trump administration to dismantle the federal government without understanding or caring about the impacts on everyday people.
This is the 3rd such protest in Harrisburg and is part of an organic movement sometimes called “50501”.
March 7th
Stand up for Science 2025
On Friday, March 7, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, people will gather at Philadelphia City Hall, 1400 John F Kennedy Boulevard Philadelphia, PA 19107 to protest attacks on science and advocate for funds for research. We all know how important this research is generally; loss of funding will negatively impact our local economy.
You can find out more about the organization Stand Up for Science at www.standupforscience2025.org

General Strike
Fellow citizens are signing up to strike. This is another effort to show those in “power” that everyday people have power too, and can use their power to affect the economy. You can sign a Strike Card here.
NOTE: We’ve also heard talk of a general strike on March 14th and will update this page if and when we are able to provide more details on that strike action.
